Our passionate PTFA

Welcome to Sticklepath Academy PTFA

Welcome to Sticklepath Academy PTFA, a group of parents, teachers and friends who partner together to encourage home/school links, raise valuable funds for the school and increase the strong sense of community within the school.

Who We Are
Run by volunteers, we have a core committee of four named officers, as well as many other willing participants… but we always need more! Any offers of help will be warmly welcomed!

This year the committee comprises of:

  • Emma West (Chair)

  • Alex Rolls (Secretary)

  • Clare Leworthy (Treasurer)

What We Do
We organise a number of activities for both pupils and parents throughout the year including:

  • Christmas and Summer Fairs and raffles

  • Easter chocolate hampers

  • School discos

  • Children’s Christmas cards

  • Scholastic book orders

  • Welcome Breakfast for parents of new Reception children

We also meet around three times a term where you can raise any issues or ideas.

What Is the Money Spent On?
The PTFA supports a variety of projects across the school. This year the PTFA have funded:

  • Theatre performances and book binding workshops to coincide with National Book Week

  • New books for the library

  • Sports equipment

  • Classroom games

  • Playground equipment

  • Kitchen equipment for classrooms and cookery club

  • Extended school equipment

How Can I Get Involved?

  • Come along to our New Parent Welcome Breakfast at the start of the year

  • Join us at one of our regular meetings – usually held in the Staff Room, but sometimes in the pub and all are welcome!

  • Check the PTFA section of the school’s weekly newsletter for key dates and news and the PTFA board near the school gates

  • Check the minutes of our meeting on the school’s website

  • Join the PTFA Facebook page

We look forward to welcoming you and your child to Sticklepath Academy and the PTFA.
