What happens if your child is sent home with symptoms of COVID-19 - Government guidance:
If your child begins to feel unwell at school and is showing symptoms of COVID-19, you will be contacted to collect your child from school and asked to get your child tested as quickly as possible. Until this test comes back, your household would be required to self isolate. If the test comes back negative, your child can return to school when they are better and your household will no longer be required to self isolate.
If the test returns positive, your child would be required to self isolate for 10 days and the household for 14 days. You will need to contact the school to inform us of the positive result. This information will be treated confidentially. The school will be contacted by Public Health England who will advise the school on next steps. This could involve close contacts of your child (e.g class teacher/other children in the class) being asked to self isolate for 14 days. The household of these close contacts would not need to self isolate.
Please see new page for information and support in the learning/remote learning tab.

We are a Growth Mindset School. So what does this mean?
We believe that how intelligent we are isn’t fixed but that through hard work, struggle and embracing mistakes and failure as opportunities to learn, we can all ‘grow our brains smarter’.
We value and celebrate.
• Perseverance • Embracing Challenge • Learning from Mistakes
Growing Young Minds
At Sticklepath Community Primary Academy we believe – really, truly believe – that every child can succeed and excel through hard work, perseverance and commitment and it is our job, best served in partnership with parents, to enable this to happen.
We are passionate about learning and design the most exciting, relevant and academically challenging learning experiences that enable children to think deeply about the world and their place within it.
We constantly reflect, practise, question and challenge ourselves and our children to grow and improve. We pride ourselves on our trusting, respectful relationships where everyone feels supported to take risks, learn from their mistakes and become the very best that they can be.
Learning is a journey we are all on and we look forward to welcoming you aboard!
